Apprentice Programs

An Apprenticeship is a training program that trains someone to become highly skilled in a particular trade. Each of our Apprentice Programs consist of practical, on-the-job training combined with classroom experience. Apprenticeships allow workers to earn a living wage while learning.

Financial Cost:
  • All training is free to members in good standing. As a Union, through payroll deduction, we pay for all our training and facilities. Taxpayers do not pay a dime. We provide both Apprentice Training and Journey-level upgrades. Skilled workers that complete our programs and upgrades are more employable, receive better wagers and stand out from non-union workers.
Apprentice Program Requirements:
  • Applicants must submit proof of age, high school diploma, or equivalent, social security card or U.S. work authorization document, and driver’s license or state identification.
  • Pass basic math assessment
  • Applicants must comply with applicable immigration work rules and regulations.
  • Drug screen is required.
Apprentice Pay Scale

Based on Journeyman scale

55% 1st Year: 55%-70%
60% 2nd Year: 60%-75%
70% 3rd Year: 70%-92.5%
80% 4th Year: 80%-97.5%
